I completed the modules on 91901 and 91903. Whilst we don’t currently teach AS 91901 (Apply user experience methodologies to develop a design for a digital technologies outcome), this could be a standard we offer in the future and understanding how to assess it is useful.
We do currently offer 91903 (Use complex techniques to develop a digital media outcome) and being confident in assessing student work in this standard is useful.
It took roughly two hours per standard to work through the material and this was mostly time well spent. It was much easier to work through the content associated with standard 91903 as I have taught this standard before.
Reflections
The course was useful and it my grade judgements for 91903 matched those of the moderator which was great.
One of the best things about the course was the fact that it featured student work and it was possible to save the various samples for future reference. I also kept the moderator feedback and downloaded the video evidence showing the various outcomes (which required a bit of creativity / installing a Chrome plugin).
